Updates...Finally...

Happy new year! CCGUnderground.com is updated with the latest Magic the Gathering set: Worldwake!

In light of this update, I have to apologize for the delay. My update schedule seems to revolve around Magic releases. That's because it's the only game I get to play in town. I'm looking forward to the new set of The Spoils so I can expand my CCG habits.

If you feel like things are too slow, then shoot me an email!

Alara Reborn Prerelease

This weekend was the Alara Reborn Pre-release tournament. I went to Stairway Games in Macon to participate and had a ball! I had an awesome G/W/U/b exalted deck that would win games fast. The only loss I had was when I was mana screwed. I ended up going 3-1. In the final match we took an indential draw to get into the top 8. Well it wouldn't be me if I didn't get shafted. I somehow got bumped after the last round into 9th place. Dang! Oh well!

I'll update CCGUnderground.com with the latest cards as soon as they go on sale or I get the data (whichever happens first)

Downturn

The release party for Conflux was last night. I had a RGw deck that was very slow, but super powerful. It was more like a control deck in how I would burn away my opponent's creatures with Volcanic Fallout and Fiery Fall in a pinch. Then finish up with either Meglonoth , Goblin Razerrunners (VIP of the night), or Thornling. Martial Coup is also great late game when my opponents thought they had me against the wall. One game my opponent's life was 22 and I was at 8. He had fliers with Exhalted and was slamming me for 4 or 5 a swing. I wiped his field with Martial Coup, then dropped Razerrunner, sacing a land to damage him that turn. Next turn I sacced the rest and swung for the kill!

I went 3-0 until the last round when I was paired with someone 2-1. I planned on an intential draw to just coast into the top 4 when I found out that the event coordinator put me in as a first round loss (when I actually won). Well, this messed up the stats for the rest of the toruny and pushed me out of the top 4. Although my deck was good, the fustration of having my performance not count made me loose the last match and definitely knocked me out of top 4. To make up for their mistake, I got a booster pack and a few promo cards: Obelisk of Alara.

Talking with the shop, I found out that they haven't played FNM in a few weeks. The economic downturn has hit home as well. They really should rethink about posting their inventory on CCGUnderground.com!

Happy New Year

While the economy is still looking gloomy, CCGUnderground soldiers on with the support of buyers and sellers like you. I want to thank each of you for all of your support, suggestions, and tolerance with the occational bug. 2009 is looking to be a banner year for the site with new games, new expansions, and new technology. I look forward to working with you next year and beyond.
May God bless you and your families.

Sound the Drums of War at the Crossroads of Chaos!

Wow has it been that long since I've posted something? My bad! Part of the reason I've been a little slow to blog is because I've discovered the addiction of World of Warcraft. Yes I'm talking about the MMOPG. I've also picked up the PvP starter set that was released with Drums of War. Fun stuff!

Speaking of expansions, I've also uploaded the latest Yu-Gi-Oh set, Crossroads of Chaos. I can't say I've played YGO, but all new cards are exciting to me!

The fall is in full swing and so is CCGUnderground.com. I've made some drastic changes to the database that will allow me to add new games faster. In fact, I'm planning on adding 2 more games early 2009.

Shards of Alara

Greetings! Magic the Gathering has released a new set, Shards of Alara, and we have it up and ready for you to buy and sell!

I know a lot of people hated the new pre-releases, but personally team CCG Underground thought it was the bees knees. I liked playing all day and the opportunity to play two headed giant, both of which are missing in the new format. But at every pre-release that I've attended in the past, not only would I see the same people that I normally play locally...I would be matched against them as well! I may as well avoid the long drive and overnight stay and play them locally.

And the set? Well Wild Nacatl is going to be the one to watch for!

Updates galore!!!!

Has it been that long since I've posted an update?! Sorry about that.
There are many new changes to www.CCGUnderground.com. Most of them are internal but if you look hard (as in on the front page) you'll notice that we are supporting a new game: Naruto!

We've also added the latest YGO set, "The Duelist Genesis".

Not to mention a bunch of improvements and enhancements to the rss feeds.

Lots of work in this release to help make things faster and smoother for you to buy and sell cards.
